Happy Friday, scarf loves! As we near the end of May and enter June, I’m sure you have some upcoming weddings on your social calendar. Perhaps you’re hosting a bridal shower for a dear friend. You want to be the hostess with the mostess, right?!
Today, I’m going to share some tips on throwing a beautiful bridal shower for that blushing bride to be. And you know there will be some scarves involved ;)!
Read on for bridal shower party planning tips!
♥ Choose a theme — Now, I’m not talking an all-out theme like you had for prom. For a bridal shower, it’s appropriate to choose something feminine, subtle, and classy. It may be the bride’s wedding colors or her favorite flower. Or, the gals at the Scarves Dot Net office highly suggest throwing a scarf-themed bridal shower!
♥ Select your invitations — Invitations tend to get overlooked, but I think they’re one of the most important parts of a bridal shower. They set the tone and mood of the party before it even happens. Select an invite that goes along with your theme, whether it ties in the color or vibe of the party. We’re loving the pretty floral invitation above. You can find it and other beautiful bridal shower invitations at Wedding Paper Divas!
♥ Choose your menu — I think simple and elegant is always best when it comes to bridal shower food. You could throw a tea party and serve hot tea and finger foods on a mix of china cups and plates. Cucumber sandwiches, petits fours, and macarons are all delicate and lovely options.
♥ Plan your decorations — The decorations are what ties everything together. One idea is to buy little bundles of fresh flowers and create your own bouquets. Or, if you’re feeling crafty, you can DIY it up! Check out our Soirees and Snacks board on Pinterest for some DIY decoration ideas. And, our favorite decoration is scarves, of course! Scarves can be lovely table runners or even bunting to hang from the ceiling. Check out Savvy Scarves for more scarf decoration ideas!
And there you have it! With those details secured, the rest of your bridal shower planning will be easy breezy.
