Hello all you scarf cats! It’s the end of another week and time for our weekly scarf wrap-up. This weekend all of the girls in the scarf office are heading to downtown Indianapolis to see the Super Bowl Village to check out the draaaastic changes in our beloved Circle City. We’ve also planned to scope out all the “Super Scarves” like the one Sarah’s wearing in the photo above.


The “Super Scarves” are scarves knitted by folks all around the world and then donated to all of the Super Bowl volunteers. The Super Bowl Committee’s original goal was to have 8,000 scarves knitted and donated, but there are now over 13,00! With that kind of scarf enthusiasm, how can we avoid heading downtown?!

Even the Civil War reenactment guide dug our blue pashmina– we love scarves, we love Indianapolis!

Our Traveling Scarf has been trekking around the country, being passed from blogger to blogger. We’re excited to say that cute and crafty additions are being made to the scarf, and it’s being styled in lovely ways. Here are the scarf’s adventures with the latest gals of the Sisterhood:

We knew the scarf would be in good hands when it arrived on the Sassy Stylista’s doorstep. Sarah added a cute, glittery heart to the scarf, and she wore it during a downtown photo shoot. We hear her adventures with the scarf also involve fish tacos, but we’ll let her tell that story Read it here.

And from Indiana, the scarf journeyed to visit Tieka from Selective Potential. Tieka donned a pretty purple vintage frock and posed with the scarf in front of The Metaphorest Project mural in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Check out more sweet shots from her scarf shoot here.

We’re happy to report the scarf is currently en route to the East Coast to visit Amy of Stylish Year.

We wore our Super Bowl-themed scarves downtown to ogle at the gigantic numerals. See the Frenchman in the photo? He saw us taking our scarf photo and insisted to join our photo. He asked where we were from, we said, “Here!” He said, “Oh, I’m from over there!” He motioned to France.

How is 2012 treating you?? We’re loving it so far at the Scarves Dot Net HQ, and we want to keep the love alive by creating a 2012 Time Capsule!

I know, I know… it’s still pretty early in the year, but there’s a lot that we want to remember! We’re putting together our own internet time capsule of things we’re currently obsessing over, from celeb crushes to our favorite websites.
