Orange Crush

I have a crush on the color orange! Learn how to incorporate this most energetic of hues into your spring wardrobe.

From light to bright, shop orange scarves for a sure delight!

No color is more vibrant or energetic than orange. If you’re looking for a sure-fire way to add some panache to your spring wardrobe, find a tangerine top, a mango bracelet, or some grapefruit pants. But before you go all-out orange, be sure to read these tips on how to pull off the trend. Because let me tell you, you do not want to look like a traffic cone.

Don’t overdo it — As much as I love the hue, too much orange is a bad thing (This is when we get into traffic cone territory, people.). If you want to dabble in an all-orange look, be sure to wear two different shades for a colorblocked effect. Check out how Emmy Rossum pulls it off:

Accessorize with gold — Wearing gold jewelry and accessories will add some sunny warmth to an orange ensemble. Wear a gold bib necklace and a baubled cocktail ring for warm-weather style.

Complement it — Always a safe option, pair orange with neutrals like camel and beige. Or, take a chance and add some contrasting color with cobalt blue, bright turquoise, or even a pastel like lavender.

Start small — Maybe you’re not ready to take the plunge and wear all-out orange like Emmy Rossum. No problem! Subtly work the color into your wardrobe with accessories.  Get a lightweight, bright orange scarf, some peachy nail polish, or citrus jewelry to ease into the color.

Orange ya glad it’s trendy to wear orange? ;)
