DIY Challenge The Home

From halter tops to galaxy scarves, the SDN gals can’t get enough of crafty, creative, and innovative ways to use (and reuse) our favorite accessory. That’s why we’re beyond thrilled to bring you our latest series: The Scarves Dot Net DIY Challenge.

Hello! It’s Brynn here from chartreuse & a twist, and I am excited to be back here for one more scarf DIY post! This project was right up my alley.

With summer in full swing, I chose to use the Krista Silk Anchor Scarf to complete the Home Challenge. I just love it! In its cheery yellow hue, this scarf sets the tone for my Anchors Aweigh summer soirée tablescape.

If there is anything I love more than a party, it’s to make the party pretty! And just how can you incorporate scarves into your party decor, you might be asking? Easy breezy! Scarves are much more versatile than you might think. One of my favorite ways to use a scarf is as a table runner, which is just what I did here. It adds that perfect splash of color and pattern pop!

To set the perfect nautical tablescape, start with the silk anchor scarf and gather dishes in blues and whites, dip-dye the ends of nautical rope, and add fun seaside details to your liking. White and blue with splashes of red and yellow keep the nautical palette fresh and fun!

Now, just invite your best of friends and soak in that wonderful summer sun!

Thanks to Brynn for putting us in a nautical state of mind with this breezy DIY tablescape!
