White Out: How to Pull off this Chic Summer Trend

Here at the scarf office, we’re dreaming of a white…summer. While we absolutely adore brights, neons, pastels, and bold patterns, there’s something understated, crisp, and so darn chic about incorporating this classic color into every hot-weather occasion.

Whether or not you believe in those rules about only wearing white between Memorial Day and Labor Day (We don’t: We’ve been wearing versions of this neutral hue all year long!), it’s time to bust out your white wardrobe must-haves. Here’s how to effortlessly add a splash of bright white to your closet without looking like a marshmallow. ;)

  • The Beach Babe: Show off your gorgeous tan with a posh white bikini or one piece: classic, simple, and sexy. White sundresses are also perfect cover ups for everything from the pool to a boat day on the lake.
How to Pull off this Chic Summer Trend
  • The Day Trip: We love the idea of replacing your go-to skinny jeans with a pair of white jeans or shorts. They’re your new neutral for a casual day of shopping or lounging about! Get funky with a crop top or play them up with a bright blouse and summer scarf.

  • The Night Out: Whether you’re attending a backyard bash or a swanky event, go saucy in a white romper, skirt, or a white-hot slinky dress. We love a retro black-and-white pairing mixed with gold jewelry. It’s so glamour girl meets golden girl.
The Wedding Date
  • The Wedding Date: Gotcha! While we absolutely ♥ dressing up for summer weddings, the scarf gals are serious about never wearing white (of any shade!) to a wedding. It’s the bride’s time to shine in this traditional color, so it’s best to wear something feminine and sweet in a pastel hue. In this case, it’s best not to pull a Pippa.

We challenge you to have no fear this summer, and embrace wearing white! You’ll be the cat’s meow in no time. :)

There's no place like home! Take me back to ScarvesDotNet.
