Kaelah of The Clueless Girl’s Guide
Over the past few months, we’ve asked our favorite fashion bloggers to knot, twist, tie, loop, twirl, drape, braid, and style our very own scarves. The result? A Scarf Style Guide featuring fabulous scarf looks styled by real life ladies.
Our most recent scarf spotlight is a winter-inspired look by the lovely Kaelah of The Clueless Girl’s Guide. This creative Tennesee gal loves graphic design, photography, and blogging about her fabulous life. We can’t get enough of her feminine, eclectic style, too! Get to know Kaelah in our interview below, see how she layered one of our winter scarves to perfection, and grab some inspiration for staying snowstorm-chic.
Psst … speaking of snow, grab our Polar Vortex-ready scarves here!
If you were on a deserted island and could only take one thing from your closet, what would it be?
Kaelah: I’d take this vintage Hawaiian-print dress I snagged from the flea market. It’s the perfect ’50s cut, but lightweight enough to feel breezy in a hot/humid environment. I mean, I’d want to look nice when I was rescued, right?!
If you could brunch with any blogger, who would it be and why?
Kaelah: Elsa Billgren, probably! I love her whole look/style. She looks like loads of fun!
Biggest fashion faux pas?
Kaelah: Do you really want to know? Okay, so in high school, I maybe (totally) wore one of those scrolling LED belt buckles that was bedazzled all the way around. Yep, I had a scrolling marquee right below my waist. At the time, I think I programmed it to say “Kaelah <3 Kyle” (my boyfriend at the time). Am I ashamed? You betcha. Would you believe I was voted Best Dressed in high school? Me either. So shameful!
Best fashion advice your mom ever gave you…
Kaelah: “Throw those pants away.” Sounds way harsh, but man she was right. I was so into ripped Hollister jeans in high school. My jeans looked like they were pulled from a woodchipper. Hindsight is 20/20.
If there is one song that would be your life theme song, what would it be?
Kaelah: “Independent Women” by Destiny’s Child. 1.) Because it’s totally true and 2.) It’s Destiny’s Child! And yes, I totally know that song is from 2000. Gotta love the throwback tunes!
Annnnnd which scarf knot from The Knot Library fits your style the best?
Kaelah: I’m totally a Boho Loop Tie or Ascot Wrap. Definitely.
Thank you to Kaelah for being a part of our special project!
