Scarf Stylings of a Princess-to-Be

England will soon have a new princess, much to the dismay of girls all around the world who have been crushing on Prince William for years!

Kate Middleton is the lucky girl. She’s known “Wills,” the British public’s affectionate nickname for the prince, for many years.  The couple met in “uni,” as the English call college, have been going out fairly steadily for the past eight years, and finally got engaged in October of last year on a romantic getaway to Africa.

Already, Kate’s poise and beautiful outfits have made her a style icon, and the British press is comparing her to a very famous late fashion icon, Princess Diana.  William proposed to Kate with his mother’s gorgeous, sapphire engagement ring.

With all those rainy and chilly English days, Kate has to have a stylish array of coats, hats and especially scarves.

On the left Kate sports a sophisticated look of blues and browns for the Cheltenham Festival, with a lovely paisley scarf to top it off.  Another fashionable ensemble in the right picture shows Kate, with the prince in attendance, wearing a prettily knotted, dark brown scarf.

With the royal wedding coming up on April 29, Kate’s style is sure to be in the news more and more this spring.  Will you be following her fashion?  If you want to create a royal look of your own like the princess-to-be’s, take a peek at our brown scarves.  I’d suggest following Kate’s example and pairing pale blues with a rich pattern, like the Alexis Paisley Pashmina.
