DIY Mini Scarf Tote
From halter tops to galaxy scarves, the SDN gals can’t get enough of crafty, creative, and innovative ways to use (and reuse) our favorite accessory. That’s why we’re beyond thrilled to bring you our latest series: The Scarves Dot Net DIY Challenge.
Today, we can’t wait to show you the DIY Mini Scarf Tote from Brynn of chartreuse & a twist. This clever craft allows you to wear your super-cute scarf on super-hot days — and tote around your must-have summer accessories, too!
The clouds are beginning to part, the sun is shining, and the weather is warming. Summer must be on its way!
There are two summer accessories that I can never have enough of:
- Scarves (Mostly worn on my head this time of year.)
- Totes (I bike a ton when the weather is friendly, and I am always in need of a cute tote to transport my goods!)
So, I thought, why not combine the two?!
The result? An adorable mini-tote made from a scarf that holds all my essentials for a day at the park or the beach!
What you’ll need:
- Long, rectangular scarf like the Eloise Polka Dot Skinny Scarf
- Sewing machine & basic sewing skills (You just need to be able to sew in a straight-ish line!)
- Straight pins
- Scissors
Time to fill your tote and head to the beach or the park! What would you pack in your tote?
I like to keep it pretty simple. Flip-flops, sunnies, sunscreen, and a good read are just what the doctor ordered for a little R&R. :)
